It’s all about timing!
STRATEGIZEChemOrbis was first established in Turkey in March 2001. Turkey was chosen because of its status as the world's third largest spot importer of plastics raw materials, following China and Italy. Therefore, it was the perfect starting point for introducing trading tools and market intelligence vital to the spot market. ChemOrbis also launched naturally into the international trade of plastics because of Turkey's great reliance on imports from around the world.
Having achieved its mission to become a reference for the plastics industry in Turkey, ChemOrbis intensified its presence globally by establishing local offices located in key polymer markets of the world. Having launched its international expansion plan in 2005, ChemOrbis now reports the East Mediterranean from its Istanbul Office, North & West African Markets from its Cairo Office, the Italian market from its Milan Office, while covering the Far & South East Asian Markets from its Shanghai & Kuala Lumpur Offices.

ChemOrbis has long prided itself on its personal touch with members the world over. ChemOrbis has made enormous progress in establishing an international community under its umbrella, and has become a unique hub for global market players.
ChemOrbis is a subsidiary of iLab Ventures (“iLab”), the venture capital arm of AccessTurkey Capital Group which is focused on early-stage through late-stage growth equity investments primarily in on-line consumer services companies and technology driven business services companies.
iLab’s objective is to create value by building lasting partnerships with exceptional entrepreneurs. iLab provides its portfolio companies with the capital, industry expertise, and a broad network of industry specific relationships to help build its portfolio companies into industry leaders.
