We, Nurettin Avcı 1957, Nejmettin Avcı 1960, Hayrettin Avcı 1964, Muhittin Avcı 1971, founding partners of Viking Cleaning and Cosmetics Co., started up our first company Avci Chemical Ltd. and changed the name of our company as Viking Cleaning and Cosmetics Ltd. in 1992. In 2004, we established Viking Cleaning and Cosmetics Co. to begin our journey.
After Trading and selling detergents at bazaars in Aegean region, we established our first manufacturing by producing washing soda product in 1980. Viking was the first company that packed soft soap which is also known as Mayi Soap in nylon packaging for retail sale. Bleach and Hydrochloride were added to our production portfolio in 1985. In order to supply the demand by our customers, dishwashing liquid, gel detergent and fabric softener products were added to our portfolio to increase diversification. Today we work with the best technologies to manufacture under 53.000m² indoor steel-constructed facilities and achieved capacity of 214.000 tons per year.
We constantly develop new technologies at our production. Thanks to our industry 3.0 control system, related departments can observe the production at each stage. Faultless first time production is possible at Viking by contribution of all departments. Quality, Hygiene, Sustainability and Safety are core principles that we manage at all levels and stages.
Viking has been awarded countless times for its achievements at various areas. Regarding to the official records in 2013; 1st ranked at employee provider, 2nd ranked at production, 2nd ranked at exporting brand by Aegean Chamber of Commerce.
Viking has been the trend-setter of sustainability in the region which was also awarded with “Golden Sustainability Award” by reducing wastes at the source, raw material, natural source, energy efficiency and recycling technologies in 2011 and “Green Point Appreciation Award” in 2014.
There are 4 core sales channels we work at; Retail, Private Label, Contract Manufacturing, Export and Industrial (Professional). We export to 60 countries with “Sailor Viking” brand.
In order to apply Total Quality Management System to all phases; Vikipack Plastics Inc. has been operating as a subsidiary corporation to provide plastic packaging and caps.
Avcı Chemical Inc. was established as another “chemical” subsidiary in 2014 to provide chemical raw materials. Our product portfolio consists of three products which were started to research and development in 2010, Euro Patented in 2013. Our efforts have been supported by Turkish Government Research and Development Agencies such as Tubitak and San-tez. Thus we could achieve the title of chemical raw material supplier at a competitive edge. We are proud to contribute to sustainable and profitable businesses with all of our companies.
