According to market sources, Mexican petrochemical producer Braskem Idesa which is a joint venture between Braskem (75%) and Mexico’s Grupo Idesa (25%), plans to restart its cracker and three PE lines at the beginning of November.

The company had shut the PE lines and the cracker on October 17 due to maintenance. The three PE lines were down for around 10-12 days and the cracker was expected to remain offline for two weeks.

The complex is able to produce 1 million tons/year of PE and has a 1 million tons/year nameplate ethylene capacity.
