ACC: US PVC output rises in August

According to the latest data from the American Chemistry Council (ACC), PVC production in the US increased 5.84% on the year in August to 1.363 billion pounds from last year’s 1.288 billion pounds. In the first eight months of the year, US PVC production rose by 5.18% from a year earlier to reach 10.430 billion pounds.
Meanwhile, PVC exports from the US declined by 1.63% year over year to reach 430.976 million pounds in August, while domestic sales increased 5.27% to 885.215 million pounds compared with last year’s 840.920 million pounds.
