Additional import homo-PP decreases surface in Indonesia

A woven bag manufacturer in Indonesia reported that he received an offer for Chinese coal based homo-PP raffia at $1020/ton on a CIF, cash basis. “We are struggling to sustain our business as demand for our end products remains slow. We think that offers below the $1000/ton threshold are obtainable at the moment,” he said.
Meanwhile, another converter reported that they purchased some Middle Eastern homo-PP raffia at $1020/ton CIF, cash. The buyer commented, “We are still avoiding making large-scale purchases as we believe that prices still have room for additional decreases in the near term.”
In Indonesia, overall import homo-PP injection and raffia prices currently stand at $1020-1135/ton on a CIF, cash equivalent basis.
