Another S. Korean ABS producer reveals April hikes to Turkey

In Turkey, a trader reported that a third South Korean ABS producer has announced their April prices with hikes. The producer increased their April offers by $50/ton from March due to tight supply and stronger spot styrene prices in Asia, according to a trader who replaced some stocks with higher levels due to their limited availability.

“Our supplier issued $50/ton hikes for April and we had to accept this hike since we have limited availability. We got 600 tons and requested for an additional 300 tons. However, the seller was not able to provide the extra allocation we requested. I think the main reason behind their higher offers is stronger styrene costs rather than production issues," commented the trader.

Overall, South Korean ABS prices are now reported at $1720-1800/ton for natural and $1950-2000/ton for white, all on CIF Turkey, cash no duty basis.
