Another explosion hits TPC Group’s butadiene plant, no casualties reported

The local news sources reported that a second explosion erupted at the TPC Group’s chemicals plant in Port Neches, the US, approximately 13 hours after the first explosion.
The second explosion prompted a mandatory evacuation of Port Neches and neighboring Groves, Nederland and part of Port Arthur, the US media said.
The initial explosion occurred at a tank with finished butadiene while the cause of the incident was not yet determined. TPC Group also reported that there were no fatalities but two employees and one contractor at the site were injured as a result.
