Asian producers continue to announce Sept PX contracts

Market sources reported that September PX contracts continued to be nominated in Asia. Accordingly, Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan and South Korea’s S-Oil announced their new PX contract prices at $880/ton CFR Asia, up $70/ton from the August settlements. South Korea’s SK Global has also nominated September contracts at $900/ton.

Earlier in the week, Japan’s Nippon has also announced its September PX contracts to Asia at the same level yesterday. Meanwhile, ExxonMobil’s September announcement is yet to come at the time of the press.

Spot PX prices inched up on the week to be reported at around $810/ton FOB Korea, meanwhile.
