Austrian ALPLA to set up new PET recycling plant in Italy

According to a press release, Austrian ALPLA Group is planning to invest more than €5 million euros to build a new food-grade recycled PET (R-PET) plant at its existing site in Anagni, Italy.
The plant is designed to have a production capacity of 15,000 tons/year of R-PET using a new extrusion system. Commercial operations are slated to begin in the second half of 2021, the company said in the press release.
