According to Reuters, India’s Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) will increase its naphtha spot supply after the expansion of its Kochi refinery is completed in 2017. With this expansion, BCPL’s refinery capacity is expected to reach 310,000 barrels a day from 190,000 barrels a day in the next fiscal year.
In an attempt to produce more gasoline to meet domestic demand, the company has reportedly cut its exports of two naphtha cargoes from Kochi from a monthly basis to a quarterly basis over the last two years. With this expansion, the company will resume exports of two naphtha cargoes on a monthly basis, according to sources.
