BREAKING NEWS: Braskem declares FM on PP supply from Wesseling

According to sources close to the company, Brazil’s Braskem declared force majeure on the PP supplies from its Wesseling site in Germany on December 7.
Braskem has been experiencing difficulties while procuring feedstock propylene for its downstream PP production since the middle of November.
The site in Wesseling has a PP capacity of 240,000 tons/year. “The producer will not be able to produce PP in December,” said a source.
