Borealis’ Integra unit to produce recycled PP in Bulgaria
The transition will see Integra move from recycled low-density polyethylene (rLDPE) to higher-value recycled polypropylene, while also raising capacity above the current 20,000 tons/year. Borealis said the investment will help meet growing demand for sustainable polymers in packaging, mobility, and appliances, and support customers in complying with EU regulations such as the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
Borealis added that this upgrade reflects its commitment to expanding circular economy solutions and providing reliable access to high-quality recycled plastics for its customers.
