Borealis announces recycled polyolefins compounding line in Belgium

According to a press release on the company’s website, Borealis will establish a recycled polyolefins compounding line in Belgium. The company will install a semi-commercial demonstration line for recycled polyolefin (rPO) compounding in Beringen.
The line’s construction will start in 2024 and is expected to be fully operational in the first half of 2025.
The company’s Borcycle technology will be used on the demonstration line. The technology mechanically transforms recycled post-consumer waste into high-quality rigid polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) materials.
