A pipe converter reported that two local producers implemented decreases on their domestic PVC prices as of today. According to him, a local producer cut their PVC offers by THB1000/ton ($28/ton) to THB28000/ton ($778/ton) on an FD Thailand, cash basis while another producer also reduced their prices by THB500/ton ($14/ton), bringing their offers to THB28500/ton ($791/ton) with the same terms.
The converter commented, “We are planning to purchase on a regular basis as we believe that demand for our end products will improve from January to April. Plus, polymer prices traditionally follow an upward trend after the end of the Chinese New Year holidays.”
