CASS: China’s 2016 GDP growth predicted at 6.7%

According to media reports, The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS)’s Institute of Finance and Economics held a meeting on December 28 in order to review China’s current macroeconomic situation as well as the expected economic trends in the fourth quarter.

CASS reported that the country’s economy is expected to grow by 6.9% in 2015 and by 6.7% in 2016 while adding that the consumer price index is expected to rise by 1.4% in 2015 and 1.3% in 2016.
