According to media reports, after Toyota and Nissan announced that they would recall 6.5 million vehicles globally due to defective air bags made by the Takata Corp., Honda has also stated that they decided to recall 4.89 million vehicles world-wide because of the same problem. Honda’s latest recall will reportedly not affect the US market and includes Civic, CRV, Accord and Fit model years of 2002-2008.

Previously, Japan’s Toyota and Nissan also announced that they decided to recall 6.5 million vehicles globally because of the same problem. Japanese car maker Toyota reported that they would recall around 5 million Corolla, Vitz and other models, especially in Japan and Europe, while Nissan will recall about 1.56 million cars.
