China’s December export growth beats expectations
While the growth was better than analysts’ expectations of a 15% increase, it was lower than the 21.1% jump in November.
Imports increased 6.5% in December compared to 4.5% in November.
The Chinese economy’s recovery since coming out of the COVID-19 lockdown in April last year has been helped by fiscal stimulus by the government and low lending rates.
