China’s GDP grows slower than expected in Q2

Official data showed that China’s second-quarter GDP grew 0.4% year-on-year, following a 4.8% growth in Q1.
Meanwhile, the growth was below analysts’ expectations for a 1% increase for the world’s second biggest economy.
In June, industrial output rose by 3.9%, missing the expectations of a 4.1% increase. Furthermore, retail sales rose by 3.1%, following a 6.7% decrease in May.
