China’s Jiangyin Chengold building new PET plant

According to a source close to the company, China’s Jiangyin Chengold Packaging Materials is building a new PET plant as the company has had to relocate its production following a request from the government. The new plant is currently under construction and it is expected to have a production capacity of 1 million tons/year.
The company will continue to meet its customers’ needs by securing materials from other existing plants. Once the new plant begins production, half of its output is planned to be traded in overseas markets.
