According to a release on the company’s website, CB&I was awarded a technology contract by China’s Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex LLC (SGCC) for the licensing and basic engineering of a new ethylene complex, which will be constructed in Uzbekistan.
The release also said that the new ethylene complex will include a PP plant, which will also benefit from CB&I’s Novolen gas-phase polypropylene technology in order to manufacture a variety of PP products.
