China’s Sinopec settles PX, MEG and PTA contracts for Jan

According to media reports, China’s Sinopec has settled its contract prices for PX, MEG and PTA for January. The PX contract was reported at CNY5960/ton ($773/ton without VAT) ex-warehouse, representing a drop of CNY325/ton ($49/ton) from December.
The January MEG contract was settled at CNY4700/ton ($609/ton without VAT) ex-warehouse, down CNY125/ton ($19/ton) from the previous month.
The January contract for PTA, meanwhile, was settled CNY170/ton ($26/ton) lower from December at CNY4400/ton ($570/ton without VAT) with the same terms.
