China’s Yuzhou city enters full lockdown after three Covid-19 cases
The government ordered 1.1 million people to remain at their homes and not to leave town unless necessary. Public transportation has been banned and all shops and non-essential businesses have been suspended in Yuzhou.
Two counties in Henan also sealed up a few areas and the city of Zhengzhou, the provincial capital of Henan, ordered a partial lockdown after a handful of cases were detected.
Meanwhile, the Chinese authorities reportedly stated that the full lockdown in the Chinese city of Xi’an will only be lifted when zero social transmission is reached. Xi’an’s 13 million residents have been confined to their homes for more than 13 days as part of the Chinese government’s zero-Covid strategy.
