According to market sources, China’s Zhejiang Xingxing has shut its methanol-to-olefin (MTO) plant in Zhejiang, China this month due to financial reasons.
Accordingly, the company’s 690,000 tons/year plant will remain offline for an uncertain period.
Meanwhile, the company’s other downstream units at the same site are expected to operate normally during the shutdown.
