China to start anti-dumping investigation on styrene imports from South Korea
by ChemOrbis Editorial Team - content@chemorbis.com
According to market sources, China will impose anti-dumping investigation on styrene imports from South Korea after a petition was filed by Chinese producers with the aim of reducing competition.
Further information regarding the duration of the investigation is yet to be known while some players are still skeptical about the implementation of this measure soon considering China’s net-importer status for styrene and its possibly negative impacts on its downstream industry.
In case this investigation ends with the implementation of anti-dumping duties on styrene imports from South Korea, it is expected to affect the trade flow within and across the regions as South Korea is the major supplier of styrene in China.
