Chinese PET producer lifts export prices

A source from a Chinese producer reported that they have raised their export PET prices by $5-10/ton in line with the firming crude oil prices. The producer’s export PET prices currently stand at $845-855/ton on an FOB China, cash basis while their CIF Southeast Asia based offers are at $855-865/ton.
According to the source, demand is slightly better, especially from the South American market. “In general, price and demand have not changed much in the market,” he added.
