Chinese trader: Export PET prices firm up

A trader operating in Shanghai reported that export PET prices increased by around $10-45/ton from a week earlier on the back of improved demand ahead of the approaching high season for bottled beverages. The trader had issued $10/ton hikes on their initial post-holiday prices last week.
The trader’s export PET prices currently stand at $810-845/ton on an FOB China, cash basis. Meanwhile, their PET offers on a CIF SEA, cash basis are at $815-855/ton.
