Construction of Borouge’s polyolefin complex halfway completed
The project will increase the production capacity of Borouge by 1.4 million tons/year to 6.4 million tons/year. Upon completion, Borouge’s site will be the world’s largest single-site polyolefin complex.
The complex is expected to become fully operational by 2025.
“This project is of significant importance to both Borouge and the development of the UAE’s industrial sector,” said Borouge’s CEO, Hazeem Sultan Al Suwaidi.
