Distributor: Indonesian producer lowers local PP, PE prices

A distributor reported that an Indonesian producer implemented decreases on their local PP and PE prices at the start of the week. According to him, the producer cut their prices by IDR150,000/ton ($12/ton) for LLDPE film and HDPE blow moulding, by IDR140,000/ton ($11/ton) for LLDPE injection, HDPE film and PP coating, by IDR130,000/ton ($10/ton) for BOPP, by IDR550,000/ton ($42/ton) for HDPE pipe and by IDR270,000/ton ($21/ton) for homo-PP yarn and injection when compared to their latest levels.

According to the distributor, the producer’s PP prices currently stand at IDR17,820,000/ton ($1343/ton) for coating, raffia and injection, at IDR17,960,000-18,090,000/ton ($1353-1363/ton) for film and at IDR17,960,000/ton ($1353/ton) for BOPP, all on an FD Jabodetabek, Indonesia, cash basis.

The producer’s local PE prices stand at IDR17,950,000/ton ($1353/ton) for LLDPE film, at IDR19,720,000/ton ($1486/ton) for LLDPE injection, at IDR17,030,000/ton ($1283/ton) for HDPE film, at IDR17,160,000/ton ($1293/ton) for HDPE blow moulding and at IDR18,360,000/ton ($1384/ton) for HDPE pipe (PE100), all on an FD Jabodetabek, Indonesia, cash basis.

Meanwhile, the distributor reported that another local producer also revised their local PE prices as of today. According to him, the producer implemented a decrease of IDR200,000/ton ($15/ton) for HDPE film and blow moulding while lifting their HDPE injection prices by IDR100,000/ton ($8/ton) when compared to their latest levels reported on April 25. The producer currently offers LLDPE film at IDR18,100,000/ton ($1364/ton), HDPE film at IDR17,000,000/ton ($1281/ton), HDPE blow moulding at IDR17,200,000/ton ($1296/ton) and HDPE injection at IDR17,300,000/ton ($1304/ton), all on an FD Jabodetabek, Indonesia, cash basis.
