Dow Chemical plans to construct new facilities in S. Arabia

According to media reports, the US-based Dow Chemical Company, the largest foreign investor in Saudi Arabia, is planning to construct a new acrylic-based polymers manufacturing facility for coatings and waterborne solutions in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. For this construction, the company is reported to be planning to invest more than $100 million.

In addition to this facility, the company also made an agreement to carry out a feasibility study to construct a new silicones facility in Saudi Arabia in order to meet the needs of construction, automotive, building, medical devices, oil and gas industries etc.

These investments are expected to develop Saudi Arabia’s economic presence in the region.
