Egypt’s EPC reveals mid-April prices, restart PVC and VCM plants

A source from Egypt’s EPC reported that they issued rollovers on their PVC prices for the second half of April considering the fact that their PVC and VCM plants had been shut for a while. The producer’s new prices remain at EGP8000/ton ($1049/ton) for k67-68 and at EGP8150/ton ($1069/ton) for k70 on ex-Alexandria, cash not including VAT basis.

Meanwhile, EPC restarted their PVC and VCM plants, which had been shut since the third week of February due to a technical issue. A source from the company said, “We restarted our VCM plant and resumed production immediately. However, for PVC, despite our restart, we are yet to start producing this polymer since we first need to produce VCM to make PVC. It may take until next week for us to start our PVC deliveries to the market.”
