Egypt’s top PVC manufacturers and producers discuss shortage

by ChemOrbis Editorial Team - content@chemorbis.com

On November 23, a meeting took place between Egypt’s major PVC participants and the local producers to discuss the shortage of material in the country. Sources familiar with the meeting reported that a number of decisions were reached at the meeting, including various commitments that intend to ensure healthy domestic availability.

Accordingly, the local producer EPC has agreed not to export any volumes for the remainder of 2020, except for their previous sales commitments. TCI Sanmar has agreed to fix their weekly prices until the end of the year and also to run their plants at full capacity by December 10, 2020.
