According to media reports, Egypt will make its first direct oil shipments from Iraq soon, after signing an agreement to import around 12 million barrels of oil per year. The first oil import will be 2 million barrels of oil.

Meanwhile, Saudi Aramco resumed oil supplies to Egypt in late March after it halted them indefinitely in October 2016. According to the agreement signed between the two countries in March 2016, Saudi Arabia is expected to provide 700,000 tons of refined products per month to Egypt for five years.
