Emirati players start to receive Dec PP, PE offers
A Saudi major cut its PP raffia and injection offers by $10/ton, LDPE film offers by $40/ton and LLDPE c4 film offers by $60/ton from its last November levels. The producer’s HDPE film offers, meanwhile, saw larger decreases of $100/ton when compared to November.
Accordingly, the Saudi major’s latest PP and PE offers were at $1140/ton for LDPE film, $1090/ton for LLDPE c4 film, $1140/ton for HDPE film, $1190-1200/ton for HDPE inj., $1170-1180/ton for HDPE b/m, and $1250/ton for PP raffia and inj., all on CIF Dubai, 90 days basis.
A local producer also announced its new offers with decreases ranging from $120/ton to $140/ton, bringing its latest prices to $1090/ton for LLDPE c4 film and $1140/ton for HDPE and LDPE film, all on an FD Dubai, cash basis excluding 5% VAT.
An end product manufacturer stated that prices dropped in line with the global trend and the slow demand amid the year-end period. He also added that prompt supply is sufficient and they prefer to secure cargoes on a needs only basis.
