Emirati producer announces November PE prices to Egypt

A plastic end manufacturer operating in Egypt received new November shipment PE offers from an Emirati producer. The producer’s new offers are reported at $1070/ton for HDPE film, at $1140/ton for LDPE film and at $1160/ton for LLDPE c4 film, all on a CIF Alexandria, 90 days deferred payment basis.
“We are still avoiding import purchases given the high exchange rate for the US dollar. We are feeding our plant from our stocks while sometimes we make purchases from the local market. Demand is weak on our end products and the plant isn’t running at full rates," added the converter.
