Enterprise announces plans for new PDH unit in Texas
The company stated that the new unit will have a designated propylene production capacity of around 825,000 tons/year and the estimated total project investment is more than $1.2 billion.
The construction of the new plant is expected to commence by the second quarter of 2019 and commercial operations are slated to begin by the third quarter of 2023, the company said in the application.
Enterprise, which seeks exemption from taxes to build the facility, stated that the company has not entered into any agreements, contracts or letters of intent related to the proposed project so far.
The company already operates a 750,000 tons/year PDH unit in Mont Belvieu, Texas.
