Europe’s commercial vehicle sales up in January

According to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), commercial vehicle sales in the European Union revived in January after decreasing in December. New commercial vehicle registrations increased 7.6% to reach 142,596 units in January. The highest vehicle registrations were seen mostly in trucks and bus segments.

In January, new buses and coaches registrations climbed 21.2% year over year while sales for trucks reached 22,485 units, up 6.7% when compared to the same month of 2014.

Among the largest European markets, Spain (+25.7%) and the UK (+23.6) recorded double-digit growth.
