European Commission imposes definitive AD duty on Chinese PET

According to an official press release, the European Commission has imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of certain PET grades originating from China.
Accordingly, duties ranging from 6.6% to 24.2% will imposed to Chinese PET imports. They will be in place for five years.
The final decision followed the provisional duties implemented in November 2023. Previously, the commission investigated the dumping of Chinese imports and concluded that artificially low-priced PET from China was undercutting EU industry’s prices.
