According to a press release, four major styrenic companies have signed an incorporation agreement to formally establish Styrenics Circular Solutions (SCS), a joint industry initiative that aims to drive the shift to a more circular economy for styrenics.

Four founding members, INEOS Styrolution, Total, Trinseo and Versalis (Eni), stated in the joint press release that the newly incorporated platform will enable PS, EPS, and other styrenic-based plastics to be fully recycled through new technologies.

SCG also stated that they welcome the inclusion of partners across the entire value chain, including recyclers, waste management companies, converters and brand owners in the development and industrialization of new recycling technologies and solutions.
