European producers announce PS, ABS prices for Feb

Major styrenics producers in Europe revealed their February prices with increases following higher monomer settlements.
According to a statement on the company’s website, Trinseo, formerly known as Styron, announced its new PS and ABS prices for February with increases to Europe as of yesterday. The producer raised its prices by €250/ton ($268/ton) for GPPS and ABS while increasing its HIPS prices by €270/ton ($290/ton) compared to the January levels. The company also applied €200/ton ($215/ton) increases on their SAN prices.
Earlier in the week, Ineos Styrolution had also announced its prices for February with further hikes. The producer raised its prices by €270/ton ($290/ton) for GPPS and by €280/ton ($300/ton) for ABS with respect to January.
February styrene contracts were fully settled with an increase of €260/ton ($280/ton) from January at €1560/ton ($1678/ton) FOB NWE while butadiene contracts surged by €460/ton ($495/ton) to settle at €1400/ton ($1506/ton) FD NWE.
