Eurozone construction output declines 0.6% in Dec

According to data released by Eurostat, construction output in the eurozone fell 0.6% on a seasonally adjusted monthly basis in December following an upwardly revised gain of 0.9% in November. The December output figure indicated the first decline in three months. On a yearly basis, meanwhile, construction output slid 0.4% in December after climbing 0.3% in the previous month.
Among EU member states, the largest monthly gains in construction output were recorded in Romania, Slovakia and Sweden while the largest decreases were observed in Slovenia, France and the Netherlands.
