Eurozone construction output down in November

According to data obtained from Eurostat, the seasonally adjusted production in the euro area’s construction sector decreased by 1% month-over-month in November.
Meanwhile, production in construction was also down by 2.2% in the euro area when compared to a year earlier.
In November, building construction decreased by 1.2% while civil engineering declined by 0.4%.
Among Member States for which data are available, the largest monthly decreases in production in construction were recorded in Czechia (3.8%), Germany (2.9%) and Hungary (2.6%). The highest increases were observed in Romania (2.6%), Slovakia (2.4%), Belgium and Spain (both 1.1%).
