Eurozone records stable GDP in Q4

According to preliminary data published by Eurostat, the Eurozone’s gross domestic production (GDP) for the fourth quarter of 2023 remained stable quarter-on-quarter after contracting by 0.1% in Q3. Meanwhile, initial estimates for the full year 2023 data showed a 0.5% growth.
On a country-based breakdown, Portugal (0.8%) recorded the highest increase in Q4 on a quarterly basis, followed by Spain (0.6%) and Belgium and Latvia (both 0.4%). On the other hand, Ireland (0.7%) recorded the largest decrease in Q4, followed by Germany and Lithuania (both 0.3%).
