Export PET offers from S. Korea remain on downtrend

A source from a South Korean producer reported that they cut their export PET prices further as of this week. The producer’s offers have been steadily down since early September.
Recent offers indicate weekly decreases of $30/ton to be reported at $1130/ton FOB Busan, cash.
“We applied a new round of decreases on our offers as some buyers still placed lower bids early this week. However, we think PET prices may rebound as of mid-December in line with the recovery in the energy market,” the source opined.
