According to market sources, ExxonMobil and China’s Yisheng Petrochemical settled their January PX contracts at $750/ton CFR. Earlier, ExxonMobil had announced its January PX contract to Asia at $750/ton CFR, down $50/ton from its first nomination. Japan’s JX Nippon Oil and Energy, meanwhile, lowered its nomination by $40/ton to $760/ton before withdrawing from the contract negotiations.

Meanwhile, South Korea’s SK Global Chemical revised its January PX contract down $20/ton from its initial nomination to $770/ton CFR.

The last major settlement for the Asian PX contract was reached at $780/ton CFR in November.
