ExxonMobil seeks March price increases for PP in North America

According to a price update report from the company, ExxonMobil announced price increases for its PP products for March. Market sources attribute the recent hike to the January propylene contract in the USA, which indicated increases from the previous month.

Exxon will seek an increase of $0.03/lb ($66/ton) for all grades of polypropylene sold in North America, effective as of March 1. The company added that this hike will be separate from the previously announced price changes.

The company has also recently sought hikes for its PE products, effective as of February 1, following the recent Arctic blast in the USA that affected olefin production.
