February PX contracts nominated higher in Asia
Accordingly, South Korea’s SK Global Chemical announced its February PX contract price at $770/ton CFR Asia, sharply up by $120/ton from January.
India’s Reliance Industries and Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan revealed their new PX contracts at $780/ton and $760/ton CFR Asia, respectively. These levels indicated respective increases of $70/ton and $60/ton over January nominations.
According to data from ChemOrbis Price Wizard, spot PX prices on an FOB Korea basis are currently standing at around $660/ton, up by nearly $45/ton from end-December.
