According to market sources, February propylene contracts have started to settle in the US. The new propylene contracts are settling 1.5 cents/lb ($33/ton) lower from January at 30 cents/lb ($661/ton) FD USG for polymer-grade propylene and at 28.5 cents/lb ($628/ton) for chemical-grade propylene with the same terms.

Sources reported the new settlement was in line with market expectations. Meanwhile, initial nominations called for a drop of 1 cent/lb ($22/ton) from the previous month. If the new settlement sees widespread acceptance, it will be the second decrease in two months.
