Germany’s BASF reopens Iran office

According to media reports, Germany’s BASF has reopened its office in Iran. An official from Iran’s National Petrochemical Corporation (NPC) reported that the company’s move will accelerate and facilitate mutual investment and Iran’s petrochemical exports to Europe and Germany.

Previously, NPC announced that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with BASF for the construction of a new petrochemical complex in Asaluyeh with an investment value of around $6 billion. The new complex is slated to produce ethylene in its first production phase while later it is planned to produce various PE grades.
