According to media reports, Germany’s Basell Polyolefine GmbH is planning to sell Iran technology needed for petrochemical production despite ongoing sanctions. The project between the German and Iranian companies has an estimated value of $300 million.

Basell already has licensing contracts with Iran for Amir Kabir, Kermanshah, Mahabad, Luristan, and Kurdistan petrochemical complexes in Iran.

Iran is expected to have more than 50 million metric tons of petrochemical production during the current fiscal year.
