According to data released by Federal Statistical Office in Wiesbaden, Germany’s exports rose by 2.2% in the second quarter of 2015. The country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), meanwhile, expanded 0.4% in the second quarter, in line with preliminary estimates.

The country’s private consumption increased 0.2% in the April-June period while capital investment shrank 0.4%. Analysts commented that Germany’s economy was boosted by exports in the second quarter while adding that the economic slowdown in China may lead to a slowdown in Germany’s exports. China is Germany’s third-largest trading partner.
